Hello and nice to meet you! My name is Nathan, but some call me Nate for short. I’ve had a passion for photography ever since I was a kid playing with my dad’s old 35 mm camera. Professionally, though, I’ve been shooting weddings and families since 2018 and have been loving every minute of it.

Originally from Austin, TX, I moved to Malibu, CA in 2008 to go to college at Pepperdine University (Ayo Waves!) and eventually settled down in Los Angeles upon graduating. While in college, I studied film and television production, which has further enhanced my love for art and storytelling.

On top of being a photographer, I also work as a casting producer for unscripted reality shows, including American Ninja Warrior, Undercover Boss, and Squid Games: The Challenge. I love working in casting because I get to meet a myriad of people of all shapes, colors, and walks of life to find out their unique stories. Stories are also what drive my interest in photography and why I enjoy hearing about and capturing peoples’ unique love story or family dynamic. My approach to photography is simple: be yourself and let me do the rest. I love candids with minimal posing so that your story is told as authentically as possible. I describe my editing style as natural with a golden flare because I love using warm tones to set a happy and inviting mood in all of my photos. As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I also love celebrating all types of love and telling the stories of people in communities who don’t always get their stories told.

When I’m not out on a shoot or editing in my office listening to the latest Taylor Swift album, I can be found in a coffee shop with a cold brew in hand, no matter the weather, or curled up on the couch binge-watching the latest true-crime documentary series.
