Washington.

May 27th, 28th, 29th = Washington. The state. Sasquatch music festival, a one day event at the Gorge Amphitheater. The pixies headlined the evening, and unfortunately due to a closed stage, I wasn't able to see them. Writing this in the Seattle/Tacoma airport right now, very tired and lusting for a cigarette, though I don't have time to smoke one because I probably wouldn't make it back in time for boarding. Unfortunately, I've got to stick around because somehow, I wasn't assigned a seat - hopefully they'll give me one. No music yet today - I should be charging my ipod right now in preparation for the flight...

Anyhow, experiences from Saturday:

1. Ate mildly acceptable bowl of Sweet & Sour Chicken Rice
2. Saw very strange act consisting of 2 (14?) year old girls, dressed scantily, singing while playing drums and keyboard. Smoosh? was their name i think?
3. Hit my chin on a road case while helping an over zealous stage hand roll it up the ramp to the stage - he pushed to fast while I ran backward and i tripped...
4. Saw attractive girl from Chicago who works for Drag City.
5. Watched Modest Mouse from the side of the stage, with the Gorge to my right under a beautiful sunset.
6. Got kicked off the stage before the Pixies played - they had a closed stage, and I really wanted to see them.
7. Failed at numerous attempts to gain access to the stage while the Pixies played.
8. Rode back 1 hour to the shitty hotel in a mini-van.
